Delivery rooms worldwide are well-equipped with talc used in sterile gloves, medical applications and instruments, fabrics and other items.

Talc is one of the very first substances that has contact with our skin, of course natural and safe, making the beginning of our lives smooth and warm. As life evolves more and more each day, a human being also gains more frequent touch points with talc applications. Whether it is the favourite cereal bowl (the one with the little funny bears, colourfully printed on the outside, both the bowl and the print made durable thanks to talc), or the beloved toy cowboy (which will be taken to kindergarten or school, secretly stuffed into the kid’s bag) or just the raincoat mum or dad insists to be worn this blustery rainy day, sourcing a reliable water repellent coating partially thanks to – you name it: talc. But wait, there is more to talc, not just kids’ stuff!!

Talc is this super-talented substance from a mineral source, extracted thoroughly at AIHAI’s mining sites (and also in many other parts of this world). It is merely omnipresent in our lives, it is natural and safe. We encounter talc in bumpers, tires and other car parts, in cosmetics, in minor and major domestic appliances as well, in plastics of any kind, in colours, coatings and delicate surfaces like laptops and smartphones.

So how is AIHAIs approach to talc and, of course to our customers?

As mentioned earlier, talc currently is extracted at many places worldwide. But there is more about working with our multi-purpose material, than rather just mining it. At AIHAI we constantly do research, learn from our customers and their projects and we gain more knowledge about talc with every step we take.

Known as a highly trusted provider and brand name for talc and solutions in Asia, based on extended mining resources, AIHAI opens a new field of business with our state of the art milling plant in Traboch, right in the very centre of Austria – placed strategically close to where countless suppliers for the automotive industry reside.

Of good reason, because the automotive industry is right at the turn of a new era, heading into electric mobility, based on many new technologies. An era, when safety, durability and resistance will be higher challenging for manufacturers than in earlier decades.

The new plant in Traboch is supplied with talc from our mining sources in Haicheng, China, extracted since 1949, now subject to the government’s highest environmental laws and standards. Once it has arrived in Austria as a raw material, processing of each new batch starts, matching our customers’ needs with tailor-made quality and refinement.

Executed by our carefully selected team of Austrian and international workers, technicians and consultants, as well as our trained sales representatives with exceptional knowledge about the latest and of course, future technologies in talc applications such as compounds and many others.
